We Had an Idea. You Helped Build a Revival.

When Rock Bottom Revival began, we weren't thinking about websites, podcasts or how far this could go. We were thinking about one conversation. One Facebook Live. One opportunity to sit down, tell the truth and maybe help someone see things from a perspective they hadn't considered before. And now we're heading into Episode 16, building the Rock Bottom Revival website and taking the next steps toward becoming a podcast. Sometimes we look at each other and think... How the hell did we get here? The answer is actually pretty simple. You. This Community Made This Possible Every person who watched a Live. Every person who commented, shared a post or invited someone into the conversation. Every person who sent us a message and trusted us with part of their story. Every community that welcomed us, supported us, shared our mission or helped us figure out what the next step looked like. Every person who believed there might be something worth building here. You helped create Rock Bottom Revival. We are incredibly blessed by the support this community has given us and equally grateful for the communities that allow us to show up and support them in return. What started as a simple dream of going Live on Facebook has become something we honestly never imagined. And we're just getting started. Our Mission Is Bigger Than a Show Rock Bottom Revival isn't about sitting behind a microphone pretending we have life figured out. We don't. We're people with lived experience who have been through some shit, learned some things, gotten some things wrong, found things that worked and kept moving forward. Our mission is to bring honest conversations about incarceration, felons, recovery, mental health, reintegration, accountability, healing and personal growth into spaces where they haven't always been welcomed. We want to challenge stigma. We want to talk about what actually happens behind the walls. We want to talk about what happens when someone comes home. We want to talk about addiction and recovery from different perspectives. We want to talk about mental health without shame. We want families and allies to have somewhere they can listen, ask questions and better understand the people they love. And we want people who have lived these experiences to know that their story doesn't make them less deserving of community, opportunity or a future. Come As You Are There is something incredibly important at the center of this community: We meet people where they are. Not where we think they should be. Not where society says they should be. Not where someone else was at the same point in their journey. Where they are. There are no expectations that you have everything figured out before you belong here. You don't have to recover like we did. You don't have to believe everything we believe. You don't need the same story, background or experiences. You can be a felon. Someone in recovery. Someone struggling with their mental health. A family member. A friend. An ally. Someone who works within these systems or simply someone who wants to understand another perspective. What we ask is that you come with respect and without judgment. Listen to understand. Share your experience without telling someone else what theirs should look like. Support people without expecting them to become a version of you. Because that's the kind of community we want Rock Bottom Revival to be. There Isn't Only One Way to Ryze One of the greatest things we've learned through our own journeys is that healing isn't one-size-fits-all. Neither is recovery. Neither is rebuilding after incarceration. Sometimes you have to try things that don't work before you discover what does. Sometimes you have to question everything you thought you knew about yourself. Sometimes you have to walk away from old identities, old patterns and old expectations. And sometimes rock bottom becomes the place where you finally start discovering who you actually are. That's where passion can begin. That's certainly what happened here. The things we once thought would disqualify us from helping others became some of the very experiences that gave us something meaningful to say. Our stories became conversations. Those conversations became a community. And that community became Rock Bottom Revival. We're Doin' the Damn Thing Sixteen episodes. A growing community. A website. A podcast in the making. New ideas that seem to appear faster than we can write them down. And two women looking at each other sometimes wondering how something so simple grew into all of this. We're still learning. We're still growing. We're still Ryzing. And we're incredibly grateful that you're doing it with us.
